Truly to "love one's enemies" is a discipline that requires a great deal of humility and love. In today's homily, Fr. Pete references how our Lord infinitely is better at forgiving than he could ever be (see Luke 23: 34). He also references the lives of St. Pio of Pietrelcina (1887-1978), St. Pope Celestine V (1215 - 1296) and St. Bernadette Soubirous (1844-1879), all of whom were terribly treated by others in the faith yet persevered in the faith because of their wonderful love of 'God.

2023 Border Town Mass & Picnic
St. Patrick's Community Picnic took place on September 23, 2023. Thanks to Ema Elvir and a whole slew of volunteers, the reception and success of this picnic highlighted the importance of ministering as a community. As Fr. Jason Nesbit, CSV mentioned at the picnic, he was uplifted by the manner in which the entire St. Patrick's Church community was able to serve the people of Momence and helped build a lasting impression for a community that was in so much need of faith-building. The top prize for our Progressive 50/50 Raffle was over $12,000!!!
Thanks to all who were invested in this project, from the Vendor Sale to the Rummage Sale to the Kids' Activities to the Music, Food, Raffles, Auctions and so much more!!!
St. Patrick's Irish Mass & Dinner 2024
On March 9, 2024 - the faithful at St. Patrick's in Momence gathered for the annual bagpipe Mass, followed by a Corned Beef Cabbage / Irish Stew Dinner, cooked by the Knights of Columbus. Much thanks to all who made this wonderful event possible, including Brian McKee on the Bagpipes and "The Galway Guys" for their musical talents for our event!!!
Border Town Mass &
Appreciation Dinner - February 11, 2023
The St. Anne and St. Patrick Community honor those who have served our parishes at our Annual Mass & Appreciation Dinner on February 11. Food was provided for over two hundred fifty souls - pans of JR Chicken and side dishes as well as pasta, pizza and three types of Mexican dishes, rice and potatoes as well. Outside of a pan of beans... all the food was gone by the end of the night!!! Thanks to everyone who made this event such an important one for our parish communities.

Fr. Pete Jankowski came to realize that this form of "Virtual Evanglization" has resulted in almost 350 Videos that has been produced for the St. Anne & St. Patrick Communities, resulting in over 1050 hours of work for the sake of helping souls at the Border Town Parishes... that is almost FORTY FOUR DAYS of constant producing in helping souls reach heaven at the Border Town! Thanks to all who have contributed to this cause of evangelization for the good people of St. Patrick's (Momence) and St. Anne (St. Anne, IL)!
